The solution to the situation in northwest Iran is to prevent foreign armies from interfering in the region, the supreme leader of Iran, said Ayatollah Ali Sayyid Khamenei, Mehr reported.

According to him, the Iranian armed forces are a solid wall and shield of the country from serious threats.

He noted that the presence of foreign armies in the region, including the US military, is destructive and provocative. Stressing that regional armies must maintain the security of the region, he said that foreign armies should not be allowed to interfere in regional affairs.

Khamenei said current events between Iran's neighbors in the northwest should be resolved without foreign interference.
