In 2022, police spending in Armenia will increase by 3 percent. It is planned to implement two programs, with 11 measures. For this purpose, it is planned to allocate more than 66.5 billion drams (approx. $138.5 million) from the state budget. Minister of finance Tigran Khachatryan stated about this at Monday’s parliamentary standing committees’ joint debates on the draft state budget for 2022.

He noted that last year 64.6 billion drams (approx. $134.5 million) were allocated to this end from the state budget.

"Thus, the increase in [police] expenses will make about 3 percent," Khachatryan added.
