Former Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov has stated the reasons for his resignation four months after he resigned, Ukraine 24 reports.

Avakov emphasized that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had invited him to join his team “as a competent individual who can perform the difficult task”.

Commenting on the reasons for his resignation, Avakov stated that he worked with the President’s team for over two years, after which he saw that, apparently, he can’t exercise his competence anymore, and this was exactly the reason for his resignation.
