It’s not by chance that the Armenian community is one of the most active communities in the public and political life in Ukraine. This is what member of the Armenia-Ukraine Parliamentary Friendship Group of the National Assembly of Armenia, deputy of the ruling Civil Contract Party Gurgen Arsenyan said during the concluding conference of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine held in Yerevan on Monday.

In his speech, he said the relations between the Armenian and Ukrainian peoples are historical and emphasized the role of the friendly relations and the Armenian community in the lives of Armenians and Ukrainians.

President of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine Vilen Shatvoryan supported Arsenyan’s position, adding that the Union of Armenians of Ukraine is an all-Ukrainian organization and that support to the implementation of pro-Armenian initiatives lies at the core of the organization.
