The Republic of Armenia, which still hasn’t healed the wounds of the previous war, hasn’t recovered from the shock and hasn’t come to grips with loss, has been entangled in a war again because our aggressor neighbor now has an eye on the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia. This is what deputy of the “Civil Contract” faction of the National Assembly of Armenia Lusine Badalyan said in parliament today.

“At this moment, perhaps we need to ask the international community to make a call, but we heard those calls during the 44-day war, and they don’t prevent the deaths of our sons. We anticipate more active steps from the international community and Armenia’s strategic ally, which has convinced and assured us for decades that there will be an adequate response to any kind of attack on the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia. Now we are in that situation, and I hope the reputation of our strategic ally and its capacities will help restore the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia.

Dear ally and partners, never doubt that the commitments of the Republic of Armenia stated in the treaty would be fulfilled on time, if you were in need of help. Never doubt that the Republic of Armenia would be the first to extend a helping hand, if you were in need of help. Today we need that help, and today the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia and the right of citizens to life are at risk, and we are anticipating appropriate actions,” the MP declared.
