YEREVAN. – Armenian President Armen Sarkissian, who is in Singapore on a visit, had a talk with Singapore Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies Heng Swee Keat, the Office of the President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The interlocutors discussed the avenues for expanding the Armenian-Singaporean ties and domains of bilateral cooperation. In particular, it was noted that there is great potential for deepening this cooperation in high technology, communication, science, education, and a number of other areas.

Also, President Sarkissian and the deputy PM of Singapore underscored the intensification of contacts and cultural ties between the two countries.

Within the framework of the Bloomberg New Economy Forum  in Singapore, the President of Armenia had talks also with well-known businessman and former mayor of New York City Michael Bloomberg, and former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair.
