YEREVAN. – Over 39 percent of respondents of the public opinion poll about Armenian Mass Media do not trust local television. The study was conducted by Eurasia Partnership Foundation, Caucasian research center, Yerevan Press Club, and Internews with the assistance of United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
According to the findings, only 10 percent of the respondents trust the information provided by local television. At the same time, 42 percent of citizens have relative trust in local TV. National Armenian TV channels enjoy the credibility of only 8 percent of respondents, while 33 percent showed perfect distrust to National TV.
The study was carried out in 1400 households throughout Armenia.
