YEREVAN. – Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met the Chair of Egmont Group of Financial Intelligence Units Boudewijn Verhelst and Executive Secretary Bronwyn Somerville, who arrived in Yerevan to participate in the 19th plenary session of the Egmont Group, president’s press service informs
Head of the state welcomed holding the session in Yerevan, praised work of the organization, which aims to fight against money laundering and financing terrorism. Sargsyan stressed that those problems recognize no boundaries. Hence, the fight against them requires united efforts. The president wished the session fruitful work.
290 representatives of Financial Intelligence Units from 120 member states of the Egmont Group and international organizations participate in the plenary session.
