Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Chair of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Ararat Mirzoyan today received CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas.

As reported the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mirzoyan attached importance to finalization of the draft of the Plan for Implementation of the Decisions of the September [2021] Session of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the Priority Directions for Activities of the CSTO in the Period of Chairmanship of Armenia. Zas thoroughly presented the provisions stated in the Plan and assured that the CSTO Secretariat and the Joint Staff will put in all the necessary efforts to implement the decisions and priorities in a timely manner.

During the meeting, Minister Mirzoyan also presented the situation in the eastern section of Armenia’s border and underscored the need for practical steps aimed at raising the level of stability and security, in accordance with the trilateral statement of November 26, 2021.

In the context of the mentioned situation and the current developments in the region, once again, importance was attached to the allied cooperation of the member states for ensuring security and stability on a collective basis.
