During the ten months of the year 2021, sales of Armenian wines have grown by 25-30%. Based on this year’s results, I believe the sales indicator will grow more, taking into consideration the fact that November and December are the most active months. This is what President of the National Wine Center of Armenia Avag Harutyunyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to Harutyunyan, whereas 3-4,000,000 liters from 10-12,000,000 liters of wine were exported in the past, the production volumes and share of exports have increased (more than half of the products are exported).

“For comparison, I can say that the indicator was 30% on average during the past five years. As far as brandy is concerned, 98% is exported,” he stated.

“Today, the geography of export of wine from Armenia is much wider than it was 3-4 years ago. Traditionally, Russia is in first place in terms of the volume of products exported from Armenia, followed by the EU and the US, and then China and other countries. However, if we take a look at it on the basis of 10-15 years, the share of export of wine to Russia has dropped from 90% to 70%,” Harutyunyan emphasized.
