Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro will not require surgery after being hospitalized for intestinal obstruction, a medical team said on Tuesday, adding that the intestinal obstruction had been resolved, Reuters reported.
According to the note, Bolsonaro is showing "satisfactory" clinical improvement and will start a liquid diet from Tuesday. Doctors inserted a nasogastric tube immediately after his hospitalization.
The Vila Nova Star hospital in Sao Paulo, to which Bolsonaro was admitted early Monday morning with abdominal pain, said a timetable for his discharge had not yet been set.
