Protesters in Almaty riot ambulances, damage medical workers and destroy social facilities, the city commandant's office said in the information center, Sputnik Kazakhstan reports.

According to the Department of Public Health of the city, 'aggressive' citizens rush into the clinics and hospitals of the metropolis, where they damage the property and equipment of medical institutions.

“As a result of unlawful actions, five ambulance workers were injured, including two drivers and three paramedics. The victims were taken to the city hospitals,” the department said.

At the same time, two ambulances were destroyed, the windows of the emergency room and the clinical diagnostic department were broken in the city cardiological center.
