The Jogorku Kenesh  (Parliament of Kyrgyzstan - ed.) made a decision to deploy a military contingent of the Kyrgyz Republic as part of the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in Kazakhstan, Kabar reported.

Following the results of the voting, 69 deputies voted for, 7 deputies voted against.

President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov signed a decree on sending a military contingent of the Kyrgyz Republic to participate in peacekeeping activities on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the press service of the Kyrgyz president reported.

Earlier, there was a protest in front of the Kyrgyz parliament against sending troops of the country to Kazakhstan under the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

The day before, the Jogorku Kenesh had failed to gather the quorum necessary to resolve the issue of sending troops to Kazakhstan, and the date of the discussion of this issue was postponed to January 7.
