The secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, stated this on the air of state-funded Public Television of Armenia, when asked why Armenia, a country that went through a revolution, has gone to Kazakhstan to clamp down—with the help of CSTO mechanisms—on the ongoing demonstrations in that country.

Grigoryan added that this provision is enshrined in the election program of Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract Party. It was in accordance with the logic of this approach that he explained the sending of the Armenian military to Kazakhstan, repeating that terrorist acts were also reported in the country during that period.

"Democracy in Armenia remains an internal agenda, with the help of which the domestic political crisis was managed to be resolved in 2021, to stabilize the situation in the country, and to move forward," the official said.
