The Meshchansky District Court of Moscow sentenced left-wing activist Alexander Zimbovsky to 15 days of arrest on charges of disobedience to police, OVD-Info reported.
The court refused to question a witness who came to the court and was willing to testify in defense of the detainee."On January 6, Zimbovsky, together with other activists, was detained for picketing in support of the protesters in Kazakhstan. He was charged with repeated violation of the rally law (part 8 of article 20.2 of the Administrative Code) and disobedience to the police (part 1 of article 19.3 of the Administrative Code).
According to preliminary information, Zimbovsky will serve his arrest at Special detention center No. 2.
The activist continues to hold a dry hunger strike, which he declared after his detention.
Zimbovsky will be sent to Sakharovo to serve his arrest," said the report.
