An Azerbaijani official has pledged to remove Armenian toponyms from.

It is noteworthy that when earlier the matter was about maps of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) parts currently occupied by Azerbaijan, now the "appetite" of Azerbaijani officials has spread onto all maps.

In any case, this Azerbaijani official does not point to specific territories.

"The Armenian names of Azerbaijani towns and villages on Google Maps may be completely removed in the future," said Samaddin Asadov,  Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan Space Agency (Azercosmos), according to Azerbaijani media.

Asadov noted that the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport  of Azerbaijan is actively collaborating with Google to change the display of toponyms on Google Maps.

"Within the framework of this collaboration, a number of toponyms have already been replaced by Azerbaijani [ones]. The Cyber Security Center [of Azerbaijan] is also in close contact with Google. If you look at their map, you will see that the names are already in Azerbaijani. This is the result of our collaboration with the company. It is not ruled out that the Armenian names will be removed from the map in the future. To do this, there is a need to work and convince the other side; that is already the political side of collaboration," this Azerbaijani official said.
