ISTANBUL. – U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton met Turkey’s President Abdullah Gul and FM Ahmet Davutoglu in Istanbul where she arrived to participate in the meeting of Libya Contact Group.
Clinton-Gul- Davutoglu meeting was held behind closed doors, Turkish CNNturk reports. No details were disclosed. The journalists were only allowed to make photos after which the meeting behind closed doors kicked off.
Earlier late Friday Turkey’s PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen. This meeting was also held behind closed doors and lasted 45 minutes.
More than 30 leaders and high-ranking officials arrived in Istanbul to participate in the conference on Libya.
