YEREVAN. - Quarantine is still in power in Chambarak community of Gegharkunik region. Discussions on cancelling the quarantine will be held on Monday at the Ministry of Agriculture, head of the State Service for Food Safety PR Babken Pipoyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“It is possible that we will cancel the quarantine,” he told and added that health conditions of the animals are under control in the community and there are no cases of murrain.
Pipoyan earlier told Armenian News-NEWS.am that despite laboratory studies showed there is no threat of murrain in Chambarak community and in the country as a whole, the quarantine announced for safety reasons. Chambarak community is bordering with Azerbaijan, where cases of murrain were found.
