The Moroccan government on Tuesday unveiled rules that will come into effect on February 7 for crossing the kingdom's borders amid the ongoing pandemic, TASS reported.

On January 27, the country's authorities decided to open the borders and resume passenger flights with the outside world from February 7. It was suspended on November 29, 2021 due to the spread of the Omicron strain.

Those wishing to enter the territory of Morocco will have to present a document confirming their vaccination against the coronavirus and a negative result of a PCR test taken no more than 48 hours before boarding the plane. In addition, passengers upon arrival at any of the airports in the kingdom will have to do an express test.

The new decision provides for selective PCR tests for groups of tourists upon arrival in Morocco. To carry out this procedure, the necessary equipment will be deployed, human, medical, administrative and security-related resources will be involved.
