Defense Minister Benny Gantz has signed a memorandum of understanding with his Bahraini security counterpart, the Times of Israel reports.

The memorandum of understanding will help promote intelligence cooperation, the basis for exercises, and cooperation between the countries' defense enterprises.

The strategic cooperation, which today reaches a new high point with the signing of this agreement and an important meeting with the king, is a continuation of the historic Abraham Accords and the developing relationship between our countries and peoples, Gantz said at the ceremony.

Just a year after the signing of the agreements, we are already here signing an important security agreement that will ensure strong cooperation and strengthen the security of both countries and the entire region, the defense minister said.
