Dialogue and cooperation between Tehran and Riyadh will contribute to solving the problems of the region and the Islamic world, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian told Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Hussein Ibrahim Taha.

According to him, Iran and Saudi Arabia are two important countries in the region and the Muslim world, the role of large Muslim countries in helping to solve the problems of the Islamic Ummah is very effective. He expressed hope that the dialogue and cooperation between Tehran and Riyadh would contribute to solving the problems of the region and the Islamic world.

The Iranian Foreign Minister thanked Hussein Ibrahim Taha for his efforts to open an Iranian diplomatic mission at the organization's secretariat in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Hussein Ibrahim Taha, in his turn, supported the negotiations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, stressing that the emergence of problems between Islamic countries is regrettable, and the organization invites Muslim and fraternal countries to peace and dialogue.

The head of the OIC noted that the organization will not be able to solve the problems of the Islamic world without the active participation and cooperation of all Islamic countries.
