Three members of the Iranian separatist group, the Arab Movement for the Liberation of Ahvaz, have been found guilty by a Danish court of inciting terror in Iran and gathering information for Saudi intelligence, AP reports.

A court in Roskilde said it found they were gathering information about individuals and entities in Denmark and abroad, as well as Iranian military affairs, and passed that information on to the Saudi intelligence service. The men face up to 12 years in prison. The Roskilde District Court said the verdict would be announced in March.

All three were arrested in February 2020 in Ringsted.

The Court stated that most of the proceedings took place behind closed doors due to "links with foreign powers and for the safety of the accused and others". The men pleaded not guilty, the court added.
