The ECHR will return all the cases that were assigned by bypassing the visa system. Suspended chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council of Armenia, Ruben Vardazaryan, said this at Friday’s meeting of the National Assembly committee on discussion of the situation around the country’s judicial system and on the confiscation of the computers of the case assignment system.

To note, the aforesaid system has not been functioning for many months now.

"One day the ECHR will return all the cases, and they need to be investigated from scratch when the system is operated [again]. As a result, it is both a physical burden on the courts and a decline in Armenia's standing, which is highly undesirable. Deliberate steps are being taken, which will lead to a decision of the ECHR against Armenia in the future," Vardazaryan stated.

And when asked what the objective of all this was, he said, expressing his personal opinion, that the purpose was most likely to assign the controversial cases to the judges who guaranteed a specific judicial act.
