German Chancellor Olaf Scholz declined the Russian PCR test, but this will not prevent communication with Vladimir Putin, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, RIA Novosti reported.

Earlier, German tabloid Bild reported that Scholz was tested for coronavirus by a doctor from the German embassy in Russia upon landing in Moscow on Tuesday, he declined the Russian side's test.

Kremlin spokesman confirmed that there will be the same kind of regime with safety measures (as when negotiating with French leader Emmanuel Macron, - ed. ), but this will in no way affect the nature of the meeting, nor its content, nor its duration, the Kremlin spokesman added.
