A Myanmar military jet has crashed in the Sagaing region in the north of the country, the Myanmar Ministry of Information reported on Wednesday.
It said the plane, which departed from a military base near the Myanmar city of Mandalay, lost connection around 10:43 am local time.
The cause of the crash was a "technical malfunction."
There was only the pilot on board the plane. Emergency services are currently conducting a search and rescue operation.
