A group of Western nations led by the United States, the European Union, and the United Kingdom have agreed to impose "restrictive" measures against Russia's central bank to punish the Kremlin for its invasion of Ukraine earlier this week, RFE/RL reported.

EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the measures aimed at Russia's central bank would paralyze its assets, and making it impossible for the central bank to liquidate its assets.
