The Moldovan authorities will send an application for accession to the European Union, President Maia Sandu said at a briefing on Thursday.
"Today we will sign an application for Moldova's accession to the European Union. It will be sent to French President Emmanuel Macron," Sandu said.
The President then signed the document together with Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita.
