The Turkish authorities would like to organize a meeting between Russian and Ukrainian foreign ministers Sergei Lavrov and Dmitry Kuleba on the sidelines of a diplomatic forum in Antalya, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Friday.

His remarks came at a press conference following an emergency meeting of NATO foreign ministers.

"Turkey is one of the few countries capable of engaging in dialogue with both sides. Even before the war started, we had planned to bring the two foreign ministers together in a diplomatic forum in Antalya, but that was before the war. We want to bring the Ukrainian and Russian sides together at a ministerial level. Lavrov confirmed his participation [in the diplomatic forum] yesterday, but I do not know whether the Ukrainian foreign minister can come under these conditions," he said, TASS reported.
