Brent crude topped $130 a barrel on Monday, surpassing its 2012 peak of over $128 a barrel, trading data show.
The price of May Brent futures jumped 9.35% to $129.06 per barrel. At the same time, April WTI futures rose by 9.68% to $126.12.
The price of Brent oil reached about 130.3 dollars per barrel. The maximum value was at the level of 130.89 dollars.
