Russian and Iranian foreign ministers Sergey Lavrov and Hossein Amir Abdollahian discussed the resumption of full implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Iran's nuclear program in the context of the ongoing negotiations in Vienna.

The Russian Foreign Ministry reports that during the talks it was noted that the resumption of the JCPOA should ensure that all its participants have equal rights with regard to unimpeded development of cooperation in all areas without any discrimination.

Views were exchanged on a number of topical issues on the regional and international agenda, including the Syrian settlement and the situation in Ukraine.
