President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is against any NATO decision that violates Russia's territorial integrity.

"Peace cannot be achieved from a unilateral point of view," Erdogan told a meeting of the Justice and Development Party Central Executive Council, BBC Turkce reported, citing unnamed party officials.

He said Russia's concerns about the security of its borders should also be considered.

Erdogan said he reiterated an invitation to Putin to visit Turkey, BBC Turkce quoted Justice and Development Party officials as saying.

He said Turkey had resolved a last-minute problem with a meeting of Russian and Ukrainian foreign ministers scheduled for Thursday in Antalya. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry was ready to refuse, but Turkey intervened and convinced to attend the meeting.
