The UK is increasing the supply of weapons systems to Ukraine in response to further acts of aggression by Russia, British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said.
The UK has now delivered 3,615 anti-tank weapons to Ukraine and will soon deliver a small batch of Javelin anti-tank missiles, he said.
According to him, the initial supply was to be 2,000 New Light anti-tank weapons, small arms and ammunition, but the number has been increased, and the UK will continue to supply more weapons.
In the near future we will begin delivery of a small batch of Javelin anti-tank missiles, he said, adding that all weapons are considered defensive systems and calibrated so as not to go to the strategic level.
The UK is also considering supplying Ukraine with Starstreak high-speed anti-aircraft missiles on request. The defense department believes that this system will remain within the definition of a defensive weapon, but will allow accredited forces to better protect their skies.
