White House press secretary Jen Psaki said the United States, along with its allies, had " completely crushed" Russia's economy.

“Well, the endgame is really a question for [Russian] President [Vladimir] Putin.  We have—we have completely crushed his economy,” Psaki said at Monday’s press briefing. 

Earlier, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov had said that the Russian authorities were taking measures to assist the country’s economy, and that there was reason to believe that the consequences of the sanctions on Russia will be minimized.
