Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said on Tuesday that his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba asked during a phone conversation to convey a message to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov that Ukraine favors a political settlement of the conflict, TASS reported.
“Those negotiations that took place between my colleague Mr. Lavrov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, began in Antalya and continue via video link. We support them. Last night I had a very lengthy conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. And it was he who asked me to convey to Mr. Lavrov a message that Kyiv is in favor of concentrating on a political settlement,” he said at a news conference following the talks with Lavrov.
