France’s center-right Republican presidential candidate Valerie Pecresse was sprayed with pink powder after her speech at the Confederation of Small and Medium Enterprises, BFMTV reported.
According to the channel, after Pecresse gave a speech in front of the Confederation of Small and Medium Enterprises, two activists from the Akira movement (which the channel calls a “revolutionary movement”) threw pink powder at her.
After the incident, Pecresse offered to talk to the activists. "You shouldn't," one of them replied.
No reasons were given for the incident.
The first round of the French presidential election will be held on 10 April, with a second round scheduled for 24 April. There are 12 politicians on the list of candidates.
