Brazilian Supreme Court is ready to overturn the court’s order to suspend Telegram messenger in the country if its administration complies with the court’s requirements in 24 hours, the Globo TV channel reported on Saturday.

Two days earlier, the highest court in Brazil decided to block the messenger. The reason for blocking is associated with the previously announced requirement of the Supreme Court of Brazil to remove illegal content from the messenger. In particular, there was a demand to block some channels associated with President Jair Bolsonaro, who actively used Telegram in the election campaign, Interfax reported.

According to Telegram founder Pavel Durov, there was a misunderstanding over the forwarding of emails between the company's corporate address and the Brazilian Supreme Court.

Durov himself on Friday apologized on his Telegram channel for communication problems that led to the ban of the messenger in the country, and asked the court to postpone its blocking. The founder of Telegram attributed the incident to a malfunction in the work of e-mail.

Durov also asked to give Telegram the opportunity to rectify what happened, "by appointing a representative in Brazil and creating a framework to respond quickly to future pressing issues."
