Achieving peace in Ukraine is a hard but not impossible task, and Turkey is making every effort to do so, Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin said on Tuesday.

According to him, the confrontation in Ukraine has brought enough killing, pain and suffering.

"The Ukraine war has already caused enough pain, suffering & killing. It must stop. Turkey will continue its efforts to end this war. Peace is hard but not impossible. We all have to believe in it," Erdogan's spokesman wrote on his Twitter page.

He stressed that a new cold war cannot be allowed. "It will be costly for everyone," Kalin added.
