Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov did not comment on the situation with losses of the Russian Armed Forces during the war in Ukraine, TASS reported.

The spokesman added that the Kremlin has no current information about the losses. "We have no information and have no authority during the military operation to voice them. This is solely the prerogative of the Defense Ministry," Peskov said.

On 2 March, the Defense Ministry reported that 498 Russian servicemen were killed in the operation and another 1,597 Russian servicemen were wounded.
