Armenia's position on the declaration signed by the presidents of Turkey and Azerbaijan in Shushi has not changed, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan said at the meeting of the National Assembly answering a question from an opposition deputy.

This position, according to him, is expressed in the statement of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, voiced back in June last year.

The so-called "Shusha Declaration" contains anti-Armenian provisions that encroach on the territorial integrity of Armenia. It was ratified by the parliaments of Azerbaijan and Turkey, after which Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan left his signature on it.

In this regard, the opposition asked if the Foreign Ministry took any action after its June statements.

“We need to understand what will add a statement with even more condemnation and with a sharper assessment. It is necessary to find out who will really benefit from this,” the minister said.
