Russia, in response to the expulsion in March of three employees of the Russian embassy in Slovakia, decided to declare three diplomats of the Slovak embassy in Russia persona non grata.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, on March 28, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Russia Lubomir Rehak was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry, who was informed that the Russian side, as a response to the expulsion of three employees of the Russian Embassy in Slovakia in March, decided to declare three diplomats of the Embassy persona non grata Slovakia in Moscow.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed a strong protest to the Ambassador of Slovakia in connection with the obstacles placed in the work of Russian foreign institutions in the country and threats to their security.
