North Macedonia has declared five Russian diplomats persona non grata for violating diplomatic norms and ordered them to leave the country within five days, the country's foreign ministry said in a statement, Reuters reported.

The Russian ambassador to the country was informed that the five diplomats carried out activities contrary to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and must leave the country.

North Macedonia has joined the international sanctions on Russia.
