In Mexico, gunmen killed 19 people in an attack on a cockfighting site in the west of the country, several more people were hospitalized, Reuters reported.
The shooting took place in Las Tinajas, Michoacán, where the powerful Jalisco New Generation cartel is fighting smaller local gangs for control of drug trafficking routes.
Three of the victims were women, prosecutors said in a statement. All the victims had gunshot wounds.
