Approximately 3,000 Armenians have crossed the Polish border from Ukraine (since the start of military operations in Ukraine - ed.), Polish Ambassador to Armenia Pawel Cieplak said.

His remarks came at a meeting with journalists on Tuesday.

He noted that this is the eleventh largest national group to cross the border of Poland from Ukraine. "To date, 2.4 million refugees have crossed the border into Poland from Ukraine," the ambassador added.

According to him, Armenians in Poland are supporting their compatriots from Ukraine to receive them in their homes. "The Armenian Foreign Ministry learned that embassy representatives from Bucharest and Warsaw are coordinating the evacuation processes of Armenian refugees from Ukraine," he added.

The diplomat said the Polish airline LOT has resumed flights from Poland to Armenia and back.
