Belarus will switch to Russian rubles in settlements for gas in April. According to the government of Belarus, the relevant documents were signed today in St. Petersburg by Minister of Energy Viktor Karankevich and Chairman of the Management Board of PJSC Gazprom Alexey Miller.

"Moreover, the price for the natural gas supplied starting from 1 April has become more favorable than it was stipulated by the agreement in force up to now.

Taking into account the agreements, the government will decide in the near future to reduce the price burden on consumers for consumed natural gas," the statement said.
