We have always considered that the international community must show principle and approach the discussion of this or that issue in a targeted way, Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Foreign Minister David Babayan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
He noted that the concept of "international community" itself is heterogeneous and not monolithic as Turkey, Pakistan, and Azerbaijan are also part of this international community.
"Each country has its own groups and streams that openly support the same Azerbaijan or Turkey—both at the ideological level and financially. Therefore, one should not expect a clear geopolitical position from the international community, especially in the conditions of heterogeneity, the existence of the interests of individual countries, the global, deep degradation the system of values. One should not especially expect that everything will change literally in a second," Babayan explained.
According to Artsakh FM, it is necessary to continue the work—but at the same time realizing that geopolitics is a quite complicated and time-consuming process. According to him, geopolitics are not emotions, and even if they exist, they make up a very small percentage.
"Consequently, we must take all this into account and correctly build our own geopolitics. After all, our future depends on it," David Babayan concluded.
