Israeli police say they have eliminated a Palestinian who killed two people and wounded several more in Tel Aviv, reports AFP.

An attacker shot a reveler in a bar on busy Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv the night before.

The Israeli security agency Shin Bet said the attacker was 28-year-old Raad Hazem from Jenin in the north of the Israeli-occupied West Bank. According to the Shin Bet, special forces found the attacker "hiding near a mosque in Jaffa."

Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett praised the security forces for their response.
