The claims that if the prices of goods fall in the world, that is not the case in Armenia, do not correspond to reality. Gegham Gevorgyan, Chairman of the Competition Protection Commission, said about this Friday during a briefing with reporters in the National Assembly.
"A few days ago, we had publicized the prices of various food products [in Armenia], where we had clearly showed that the prices of goods have fallen, both in the case of the drop of the exchange rate of the [US] dollar and in the case of the cost price of goods in the world," Gevorgyan added.
And when asked which products have dropped in price in Armenia, Gevorgyan responded: "The butter, [vegetable] oil prices. Buckwheat prices have risen because there is a problem of buckwheat stock all over the world. We always oversee all the markets that are in our domain.”
