Lithuania said on Friday it plans to buy more than €1 billion worth of military equipment from the US and Germany for delivery by 2027, Reuters reported.
The Lithuanian Defense Ministry said the purchases were prompted by the situation around Ukraine and would include Switchblade and other drones, Javelin anti-tank systems, radars and armored vehicles from the United States.
It would soon start purchasing 10-ton trucks from Germany.
