Turkey's calls for reform of the United Nations structure could have prevented the Ukrainian crisis, as well as the migration of millions of people, said head of the Turkish Presidential Administration's Liaison Office Fahrettin Altun, noting that Turkey continues its efforts to establish peace in the region, Sabah reported.
Stressing that Russia's attack on Ukraine has once again proved the injustice of the world system, Altun said that the UN, the European Council, the EU and NATO have become a judgmental mechanism.
He added that Turkey have several times encountered the fact that the UN, which acts as the legal basis for the interests of the victors in World War II, with its current structure does not provide solutions to global problems, but rather comes to a standstill.
Altun said that Turkey is doing its part as a force providing stability to resolve crises wherever the UN and NATO do not act or where their decisions are ignored.
