EU foreign ministers haven't made a decision on sanctions against Russian oil and gas.

According to the head of the EU diplomacy Josep Borrel, during the meeting in Luxembourg, the ministers discussed this issue, but no decision was made and discussions will continue.

According to him, the refusal of Russian energy resources will not stop the Russian army.  "If you cut gas today, it's not going to stop the Russian army… in the next couple of weeks. It is aid and defense that really counts now," Borrell said.

Several countries pushed for an embargo on Russian oil imports at a meeting of European Union foreign ministers in Luxembourg.

Officials said Poland and the Baltic states were among the EU states that called for an oil ban. German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock told ministers that Germany is not against an oil embargo, but the bloc needs to avoid measures that are more damaging to Europeans than Russia.
